Quality in Production
The Teignbridge Propellers foundry has been built specifically for the production of propeller and sterngear castings. All the ingots used in the manufacturing process are certified and undergo rigorous quality inspection. The quality of our patterns, facilities, metals and systems produce extremely accurate castings, reducing the amount of time that is required to fettle castings. This saving is one of the major factors in enabling the company to remain competitive in international markets. Once cast, fettled and inspected, the castings are transferred to one of the company's many CNC (Computer Numerically Controlled) machines where it is machined by our highly trained technicians. Each propeller will be individually hand-finished by our skilled craftsmen. Throughout the manufacturing process all parts are inspected to maintain quality control. Propellers are inspected using highly accurate computerised pitchometers, designed and built by the company's own engineers.
