The BWL – bronze water lubricated assembly has a proven record of reliability and trouble-free service. The Teignbridge Group has supplied thousands of installations worldwide over a period of thirty years.

The basic set consists of an outboard water lubricated bearing assembly complete with an integral rope guard, a bronze spacer tube and an inboard bearing/gland assembly. The bearing housings are heavy duty and cast in bronze to provide good corrosion resistance . The spacer tube is heavy wall high tensile bronze tube. Forward and aft housings are fitted with Aqualube water lubricated marine bearings.

The use of Aqualube water lubricated bearings helps to cushion vibration loads and also provides excellent bearing life.

All raw material used in manufacture is of high standard, and fully certifiable.

The complete design and manufacture is carried out ‘in house’ enabling high quality control to be maintained. Sterntubes can be approves and certified by all major classification societies.
